Germans left Bayeux in haste on June 6th, 1944 in the morning. At the communication post, in the rue Laitière, a few German soldiers were still standing as they were in charge of the link between the units of Bayeux and the Bessin. They surrendered after a few shots from the unit of the British reconnaissance.

Poste de communication allemand
Les Allemands quittent Bayeux précipitamment dans la matinée du 6 juin 1944. Au poste de communication, rue Laitière, sont encore présents quelques soldats allemands chargés d'assurer les liaisons entre les unités de Bayeux et du Bessin. Après quelques tirs de l'unité de reconnaissance britannique, ils se rendent.
